Natural Remedies of Acid Reflux

If you suffer from recurring acid reflux odds are you?ve already tried every gimmick on the shelf or ?over-the-counter? brands and found only grief.

Many people don?t realize that natural remedies address the root cause of acid reflux by helping to restore your original healthful balance.

Natural remedies are evidence-based scientifically time-tested ancient folk technologies, not medicine. The definition of medicine has changed recently because politicians are writing pseudo-scientific policy for profit, instead of scientists writing honest policy.

Drugs should not be the only things to make claims, especially when your acid reflux is NOT a drug deficiency . . .

Remember when the church persecuted people for knowing the earth traveled around the sun . . . that the earth was round and ships didn?t fall of the edge when they sailed past the horizon???

The same kind of malarkey is going on between natural remedies, which are scientifically sound and pharmaceuticals, which are not.

A natural remedy addresses the root cause of your acid Reflux, whereas a pharmaceutical only blocks the signals or symptoms from that cause.

A natural remedy can sometime prevent and cure acid reflux and other ill states of being, they have a holistic benefit.

Pharmaceuticals have side effects; natural remedies have side benefits . . .

Acid reflux is heartburn gone wild.

What was a simple hic-up of indigestion is suddenly a real bother, to the point where it can damage your social life as well as your health in the long run.

The last thing you want to do is ignore whatever is causing your heartburn by blocking your symptoms with dangerous drugs.

Did you know all drugs are small doses of poisons? In fact drugs need secret ?additional? ingredients to slow your liver and kidney functions so your immune system doesn?t immediately kick-out and eliminate the toxin they call a drug.

Acid reflux often gets worse when people use the wrong approach and anything other than a natural remedy targeted at the true cause of your heartburn can only risk making it worse.

Natural remedies have been proven time after time, age after age and found in the history records and in multiple cultures around the world.

Using local plants and other indigenous ingredients make for slight variations through the centuries . . . yet the success pattern is apparent or else how would the natural remedy survived tradition?

People pass natural remedies down through the generations because they work and because people have always suffered from acid reflux.

They never suffered by the millions like in today?s world, but then they always cured it rather than just treated it.

If you? ignore the cause of your acid reflux by treating symptoms with drugs, your turning your ailment into a real dis-ease . . .there is no reason heartburn should ever end up as a surgical operation to fix a hiatal hernia and yet millions end up there.

Plus cases of Barrett?s syndrome and throat cancer are all on the rise, why is that? Because people are blocking symptoms of acid reflux instead of finding a natural remedy that removes the root cause- we need a return to common sense.

It should NOT be illegal for people to cure themselves without drug and surgery intervention . . . and then advertise it!

Heartburn, acid reflux and gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD) are great examples of what happens when natural remedies are discouraged or even banned from public awareness.

Home Remedies for Acid Reflux

Millions of acid reflux sufferers are finding lasting relief by using home remedies. Unfortunately many of them didn’t make that a priority and after discovering that medical treatment of symptoms isn’t a cure.

Known as the Father of western medicine, Hippocrates said, “First Do No Harm.”

Since your acid reflux isn’t a drug deficiency, there’s no sense treating your acid reflux symptom with drugs then is it? If you follow the Hippocratic axiom then you would be looking for a home remedy first.

Nothing on the market is as time-tested as a home remedy. There’s a possibility of someone modifying an ancient home remedy, but generally nothing is new under the sun. Everything that we need cured, including your acid reflux, has been cured by a simple evidence-based, time tested ancient home remedy somewhere . . . including your acid reflux.

According to anthropologists home remedies for acid reflux have been around as long as homes and maybe even before that. Nomads and wandering tribesman learned about how to cure their acid reflux by chewing on select grasses, eating certain fruits and drinking special teas or even healing beers.

There is evidence that herbs and grains were fermented and carried in gourds, long before primitive civilizations were formed as a result of agriculture.

Today there is a sinking sense of feeling separated from natural things. It’s as if everything we have is denatured, from our food to our medicine . . . there was a time when food was medicine, and those were the days when home remedies were simple common sense.

Nowadays the first thing someone with acid reflux does is run to the drugstore to get a magic pill that was originally based on a home remedy. I guess you could say pharmaceuticals are ‘denatured’  home remedies, accept they don’t even deserve to be associated with home remedies because they are the opposite.

Fact is more than 106,000 people die from properly prescribe medicine every year in the US, no one dies from home remedies. That tells me that the best remedy is to avoid using any drugs unless you have to use them in an emergency and then only use them for a short time.

Acid reflux can be cured using home remedies; however there are other factors involved that only lifestyle changes can cure . . . so if you need to you can keep using a home remedy for your acid reflux as often as you need.

It’s always in your best interest to cure your acid reflux at the source . . . because otherwise you could be ignoring important signs of some other impending health issue. As always prevention of acid reflux is the best home remedy or cure.

Acid Reflux Medicine

As you may already know I write a lot of articles about various health issues and I’ve found to my amazement that there is a tremendous request for information on acid reflux medicine and remedies.

The difference between an acid reflux medicine and an acid reflux remedy is that the remedy is based on natural science, whereas the medicine is based on what next up and coming drug or surgery is patentable.

By patentable, I mean, marketable as ‘medicine.’

What we think of today as medicine is nothing like what it used to be. Two thousand years ago Hippocrates, called the Father of Medicine, proclaimed to make “food your medicine and medicine your food.” For that matter, laughter was considered to be the best medicine, but now it’s regarded as one of the best unpatentable, or natural, remedies on earth.

If you do your own research and look into it there is plenty of science to back up food and laughter as sound remedies and who at least one of them may even help eliminate your acid reflux . . .

Imagine the right food actually being a remedy for your acid reflux, instead of pharmaceutical medicine, then who will have the last laugh?

Acid reflux is no laughing matter and neither is any health challenge, yet if you can find a way you can laugh about it, it may help alleviate some of the stress related factors often associated with acid reflux.

Acid reflux medicine is intended to be used ONLY for brief periods of time, NOT on a daily basis. I don’t care how cute the Alka-Seltzer commercials get, its patented medicine, which means there are side effects, especially if you take on a daily basis.

On the other hand acid reflux remedies supported by evidence-based science are completely safe to use on a daily basis. That’s not to imply that you need to take a remedy for acid reflux on a daily basis, but the same thing that prevents acid reflux also cures it . . .

That’s the ugly truth about medicine and the good news about remedies for acid reflux. Medicine is a product that as a drug only addresses the symptoms of acid reflux, sometimes making the symptoms come back worse later.

For example Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPIs) are a medicine for acid reflux, which are documented to cause acid rebound, dependency and even lead to unnecessary surgeries in some cases.

Always look at the science of using a natural, proven safe and effective remedy, before running to your drug store to use medicine for your acid reflux. In either case if it’s recurring acid reflux see a few qualified health professionals before taking any medicine.

Help for Acid Reflux

Congratulations for doing your own due diligence and researching how you can get help for your acid reflux.

More people are taking back charge of their health, that’s the good news. The bad news is too many people suffer far too long before they decide to help themselves eliminate acid reflux.

The big problem is the acid reflux industry only stays in business if your acid reflux keeps coming back. Keep in mind only you and your family benefits from you being cured of acid reflux.

The drug industry is unfortunately still a big part of the acid reflux problem. In fact if the so-called acid reflux treatments they offer actually worked, you wouldn’t be here reading this, simply because acid reflux wouldn’t be the huge health problem it has become.

The best help you can give your acid reflux is to stop treating the symptoms. Treating the symptoms of acid reflux doesn’t change the fact that the real cause of it is still there.

You can help make things better by simply eliminating the cause of your acid reflux. When you see how acid reflux issues are properly helped, it seems almost funny to think you believed anything else would do.

The acid reflux drug industry counts on you confusing the ‘effects’ of your acid indigestion with its ’cause’.

Bottom line is the entire drug culture depends on you believing that treating the symptoms of acid reflux will help. Helping acid reflux disease by taking drugs to block the warning signals is a scientific impossibility.

It shouldn’t be allowed and someday it will be recognized as criminal. As long as people pop pills to hide symptoms of acid reflux, acid reflux will stay a serious health problem.

Do you even know for a certainty that your acid reflux issues are from too much gastric acid or too little?

If you had too much stomach acid, which is rare . . . you wouldn’t have trouble digesting rusty nails, let alone a little pizza and coke. The odds are your best help for acid reflux is to check your stomach acid levels first . . . then work on restoring optimum digestion.
