GERD Treatment

Gastro-esophageal acid reflux or GERD for short can be treated with a traditional Westernized medical angle using the chemical approach or you can use a treatment with more of a holistically angle using a nutritional approach.

Get Rid of GerdAccording to guidelines established by the American College of gastroenterology, GERD is defined as “symptoms or mucosal damage produced by the abnormal reflux of gastric contents into the esophagus”.

In searching for the right GERD treatment or cure it’s important you not get confused by elusive medical lingo. Simply put GERD is your heartburn gone wild. What was a simple case of acid indigestion has been allowed to inflame into a bad case of burned throat tissue.

Thanks to television programming, direct-to-consumer advertising and mass media propaganda millions of people end up using treatment that turn their heartburn into GERD.

If millions of people were addressing the root cause of their acid indigestion and heartburn in the first place, instead of popping antacids, then you and millions of others wouldn’t be even asking what GERD treatment they should use.

Why? Because there wouldn’t be any GERD and if there were they would be rare cases. GERD treatment is a huge business that sells antacid products, proton pump inhibitor chemicals and ultimately surgery and the maintenance products for that.

Your heartburn was never intended to lead you down a sales funnel of gimmicks and gadgetry . . . GERD treatment is a product made by the medical industry that you want to avoid at all costs.

GERD treatment is a gateway for laparoscopic or fundoplication surgery as a protocol to help you avoid the inevitable throat cancer you’re likely to get if you continue to just use GERD treatments to cover symptoms.

Before you even buy another bottle of antacids or fill that GERD treatment prescription for Proton Pump Inhibitor chemicals (PPIs), do yourself a favor, find a physician that is willing to give you a stomach acid test.

One of the biggest scams of GERD treatment is selling people on chemically blocking stomach acid production, when in fact their GERD symptoms are from a lack of stomach acid.

Don’t just take my word for it, look into it yourself. What I found is GERD treatment leads to acid rebound, which is a chemical dependency on PPIs . . .

Whenever you use a treatment, whether for GERD or acid reflux, whatever it is, keep in mind that treatment is only blocking symptoms . . . the root cause of your GERD is still there.

That’s why the nutritional approach is a smart avenue to look into before falling into the GERD treatment trap.

Natural Cure for Heartburn

The natural cure for heartburn is the same thing that prevents heartburn.

Which is the right diet married with a moderately active lifestyle.

I know you didn’t really want to hear that did you? Fact is it’s the same natural cure for almost every degenerative disease they make medicine for.

I realize most people these days are too busy and too stressed out to make the changes they should. It’s sad that in order to make a living, which usually means barely getting by, people think they have to give up their health and peace of mind.

In trade for what? Paying the water bill and being able to afford antacids for the lifetime of heartburn you’re in for?

This need not be.

The natural cure for heartburn is not about taking antacids or PPI’s (Proton Pump Inhibitors) nor is it surgery.

The natural cure for your heart burn is the opposite of treating heartburn symptoms; it’s the opposite of maintaining a state of acid indigestion for the rest of your life and the natural cure for your heartburn has nothing to do with taking harmful addictive drugs . . . but you already knew that I hope.

The natural cure for your heartburn is only going to be found from boycotting the Western Pattern Diet from your life, also called SAD for Standard American Diet.

The Standard American Diet (SAD) was designed to feed big corporations like Big Sugar, Big Agri and the USDA . . .

There is just no way Americans can naturally cure heartburn and the rest of those age-related diseases that are popping up like weeds without learning how to eat naturally.

It is NOT natural for people to be eating so much animal protein. Animal protein is way over rated by the agencies and lobbyists that support these industries.

Americans have been told to eat too much of everything . . . it’s no wonder why heartburn affects nearly a hundred million Americans each day. I’m sorry there is no magic pill to naturally cure heartburn either.

Heartburn is caused from over eating foods with lousy nutritional profiles and drinking beverages loaded with sugar or worse . . . high fructose corn syrup.

Look around, you’re not alone. Millions of people need to be naturally cured from the Standard American Diet (SAD), which is mostly to blame for your heartburn and the heartburn epidemic.

A natural cure for heartburn is what happens when you remove the cause of your heartburn . . . taking medicine encourages you to forget about naturally curing heartburn.

Acid Forming Foods

Foods that form acid are foods that are generally not really good for your health at all.

When you make a lifestyle habit of eating acid forming foods eventually you’re going to have symptoms of acidosis and there are quite a few of them too.

Alkaline forming foods are the foods that are generally good for you, mainly because your entire life process depends on you being slightly alkaline, or salty.

Acid forming foods demand that your body take on the task of neutralizing those acids and the only way it can do that is to activate an immune response, triggering inflammation and releasing calcium and magnesium from your bone and teeth.

Eating acid forming foods all the time can really tax your mineral and nutrients stores.

Once these acid forming foods have depleted most of your minerals, it will become almost impossible for your 60,000,000,000 cells to communicate electrically, plus this also inhibits your cells abilities to absorb vitamins.

Having a state of acid imbalance, or acidosis also decreases oxygen and invites anaerobic organisms (breathe carbon dioxide) to thrive.

Bacteria that cause ulcers as well as viruses and fungi can only survive and grow in an acid body.

You may think if you have too much acid in your body that taking antacids would help . . . actually they make it worse. Antacids, especially Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPIs) are notorious for causing bones and teeth to thin, weaken and break.

You simply can’t fool Mama Nature . . . you always end up paying a hefty cost later on, one way or another.

Acid forming foods are things like high fructose corn syrup, white flour, hydrogenated (Trans fat) oils, animal protein, especially cow’s milk and other dairy products. In fact cow’s milk is 87% casein, a type of animal protein they make glue out of.

The animal protein is one of the worst culprits of acid forming types of food, that and sugar.

It is well documented that acid forming foods increase the risks of degenerative and inflammatory diseases like diabetes, heart disease and cancers.

Alkaline forming foods are rich in ‘ionic’ minerals, which act as electrolytes conducting cellular signals, increasing oxygen and attracting vitamins into your cells.

Acid forming foods draw you nearer to death, whereas alkalizing foods help heal.

Acid Reflux Pillow

Sleeping elevated with a pillow on your left side has been clinically proven to reduce acid reflux.

Using a pillow to help reduce acid reflux really works well, in fact I know of one company that has designed an acid reflux pillow called the Medslant Wedge Pillow.

Not only does this pillow help reduce acid reflux attacks, it’s also been shown to help with sleep apnea and more . . .

If you are suffering from acid reflux, heartburn Gastro-Esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), acid indigestion elevated left side sleeping can really help.

Studies have also shown that stopping the habits that trigger acid reflux will cause acid reflux to go away too. So until you’re able to stop eating animal fat, refined sugar, smoking, taking caffeine and alcohol, using an acid reflux pillow and sleeping on your left side will help.

The worst thing you can do is eat late and lie on your stomach, then you’re sure to be asking for an upsurge of acid reflux.

People who are unwilling to actually cure their acid reflux may end up taking Proton Pump Inhibitor drugs (PPIs). These dangerous drugs block the cells in your stomach from making more acid.

Before you go there be absolutely sure that you are suffering from an ‘over production’ of stomach acid, because a stomach acid deficiency can also trigger the same exact acid reflux symptoms.

There is a well documented danger to taking PPIs. PPIs are drugs that can cause another man-made disease called acid rebound.

Plus a Denmark study recently found patients who have already had a heart attack increase the risk of having another heart attack by 30% more when taking PPIs, acid reflux pillow or not.

These proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) are scary. Health experts have shown them to make the heart more prone to palpitations and inflammation because by blocking nutritional cofactors they can lower available oxygen to dangerous levels.

These PPIs block nutrient absorption, interfere with liver function and increase risk of bacteria infestations of the gut.

Clearly making a few lifestyle and dietary changes and sleeping with an acid reflux pillow are the best options . . .
