Heartburn Natural Treatment
There are many people who suffer from heartburn – a painful, burning sensation that radiates from the upper chest and can make it all the way to the throat. While there are several medicinal options to treat the problem there are also a number of simple and natural ways to eliminate heartburn.
- A glass of water helps dilute the contents of the stomach and push them through. This eliminates the opportunity for pressure to build and extra acid to be produced.
- Ginger has long since been a treatment for stomach problems. Heartburn is no exception. It can be found in pills, candied or tea. All three forms help to prevent and alleviate heartburn.
- Slippery Elm, once a popular remedy for sore throats, is now being shown to help heartburn sufferers. Though it’s not been proven to be scientifically beneficial, and has not been tested in pregnant women, it may help coat the esophagus.
- Chewing gum promotes saliva production, which acts as water to dilute and flush out the stomach contents.
- An amino acid called glutamine can also help. It disposes of damaged cells in the esophagus and promotes healing.
- The oils found in a handful of almonds may relieve reflux in some sufferers.
- Aloe Vera juice – not to be confused with aloe vera gel found in some household plants – can help prevent heartburn when consumed before meals. It’s important to distinguish between juice and gel, as the gel acts as a laxative when consumed. Be sure to use caution and find aloe vera juice that is labeled for consumption.
- An enzyme that aids in digestion and helps prevent pressure and acid build up can be found in papaya.
- Apples have been said to help soothe heartburn and some people even found relief after just a few slices.
- Drinking a glass of milk may help, but don’t drink too much. Milk will help absorb acids, but it also has fats that can cause acid buildup.
- Try to avoid heartburn triggers. Common ones include garlic, onion, caffeine, alcohol, and citrus. Watch what you eat to find your specific triggers.
- Don’t eat right before bed. Gravity keeps stomach acids down and lying down allows them to creep into the esophagus.
- Eat less more often. Eating fewer, larger meals has been shown to put pressure on the stomach and result in excess acid production.
- Don’t smoke. Smoking has been proven to cause heartburn.
- Take steps to reduce stress. Something as simple as deep breathing or counting to 10 can help prevent the onset of heartburn.
- Sleeping with a few pillows under your head helps keep your esophagus elevated and stomach acids where they belong.
- Losing a few pounds may help relieve the pressure on the chest and stomach extra weight can add.

Carboplatin Taxotere Cause Heartburn
Taxotere, taxol or paciltaxen and carboplatin are usually used together for chemotherapy. People suffering from lung cancer or ovarian cancer commonly referred to paciltaxen and carboplatin as just ?PC.?
These two chemicals are administered by intravenous (IV) injection over a period of several hours and one of the most common adverse effects besides the usual fatigue is heartburn or acid indigestion.
The whole premise if using chemical therapy is to poison the cancer cells to death. The problem is chemicals like taxotere and carboplatin can also kill you.
Anyone undergoing chemical therapy will be well briefed on the dangers and risks involved with such a barbaric approach to wellness. Someday our great grandkids children will look back at the 21st century and call it The Chemical Dark Ages.
Heartburn is the least of your worries with ?PC? therapy.
Paciltaxen and carboplatin are harsh chemicals that actually damage your Red Blood Cells (RBC), preventing them from clotting blood and make it difficult to stop bleeding should you cut yourself. You?ll also notice while using ?PC? chemical therapy that you?ll bruise very easy for the same reason.
Red Blood Cells (RBC) aren?t the only ones at risk; your White Blood Cells (WBC) are also damaged by carboplatin taxotere treatment weakening your immune system. I can?t think of anything quite like getting heartburn along with a flu infection, fatigue and all the muscle aches and pains too.
The heart burn experience from taxol and carboplatin arises usually in the aftermath of nausea and vomiting. Chances are you?ll be downing a lot of anti-vomiting medications to help you tolerate all these adverse effects.
Stomach indigestion, heartburn and acid reflux will likely be accompanied by severe stomach pain along with constipation if you?re dehydrated, otherwise ?PC? therapy will trigger diarrhea too.
These chemicals are the one?s responsible for hair loss the first 3 or 4 weeks after your first treatment. Hair loss from ?PC? affects your eyebrows, lashes and body hair as well.
The worst part about suffering from heartburn and vomiting during your chemotherapy is the stinging mouth sores some people get.
Remember if you?ve chosen chemotherapy with taxol and carboplatin, the effects listed here are temporary and will go away once you?ve completed your chemotherapy treatments.
Always seek a health professional who is well versed in alternative therapies for any health issue whether its cancer or heartburn, both can be cured naturally. It?s important to remember which ever route you chose, it is your body that heals itself in the end, so why not start by working with it in the beginning?
Be careful NOT to take more drugs with your ?PC? therapy to block all these symptoms. You may want to find the remedies for heartburn and the rest of it before you start the heavy drugs.
Always ask you doctor?s opinion, especially while going through a severe regime like Carboplatin taxotere. Hopefully your doctor will suggest nurturing your immune system with raw whole food sourced nutrients and give you a heartburn remedy before you go any further.

Can Heartburn Cause Shortness Of Breath?
Heartburn can be mistaken for coronary artery disease because it can mimic angina, or chest pain
Heartburn can be described as a discomfort, heaviness, pressure, aching, burning, fullness, squeezing, or painful feeling in your chest accompanied by shortness of breath.
The difference between heartburn and angina is that angina, which is usually felt in the chest area, may also be felt in the shoulders, arms, neck, throat, jaw, or back.
So there’s no confusion, I’ve listed other symptoms of coronary artery disease:
* Shortness of breath
* Palpitations (irregular heart beats, skipped beats, or a “flip-flop” feeling in your chest)
* A faster heartbeat
* Weakness or dizziness
* Nausea
* Sweating
It is possible that a severe acid rebound event, in the right situation could cause gastric acid particles to go down the wind pipe triggering a severe coughing spell that not only may feel like an attack of angina, but could end up causing heart failure either from suffocation or overstressing an already weakened heart condition.
Acid reflux, heartburn and the acid rebound disease Over-The-Counter (OTC) antacids can induce are very serious health concerns.
I realize the drug companies have disarmed your natural sense of alarm on the subject of heartburn, but it still drastically affects your quality of life. Not only has heartburn become a casual term, it still leads to Gastric-Esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), which can also end up as terminal throat cancer.
If you’re lucky you’ll just end up with a radical surgery that will permanently ruin your quality of life, as well as shorten life expectancy.
Then there’s what doctors call “chemical pneumonia.”
Also called “chemical pneumonitis,” which is inflammation of the lungs ?due to inhaling chemical fumes, or aspirating (breathing in and choking on) gastric acid from the stomach, mineral oil, gasoline, or other damaging chemicals.
Yes your stomach acid is equal to an industrial strength chemical, hydrochloric acid. When it’s in a gastric form the fumes can permanently damage your lungs. Once the stomach acid particles are splashed, inhaled or coughed into the lungs an immune reaction begins in an effort to fight off the noxious chemical attack.
This can lead to too many white blood cells (cytokines), severe inflammation and enough mucus to choke a horse.
Chronic chemical pneumonitis can happen after exposure to small amounts of acid reflux particles or fumes causing irritation over a long length of time. This triggers inflammation and may cause “fibrosis” (scarring) which makes it difficult for the lungs to get oxygen to the body and release carbon dioxide as waste, leading to a stiffening of the lung.
Unchecked, this long term exposure to gastric acid fumes and acid reflux may ultimately lead to respiratory failure and death.

You?ve tried everything they told you to and your heart burn just won?t go away.
There is a solution, but first you have to agree to stop taking the blame. Sure, ultimately we are all responsible for our own health in the end. You really need to be your own authority of these matters, especially when it comes to heartburn.
But your acid reflux suffering is being prolonged by false advertising, incorrect medical diagnosis and deceptive products that only make acid reflux worse.
Did you know the direct-to-consumer advertising you?re exposed to is illegal in every country but the US and New Zeeland?
Why?
Because real health issues are being played down and disease symptoms are being played up, just to get you to ask your doctor to sell you the latest drug or to get you to ignore a serious health condition.
Other countries see through their game and refuse to allow corporations to manipulate the masses with the unethical use of ?the power of negative autosuggestion.?
Just the word ?heartburn? plays down the seriousness of the underlying health problem. Everyone just thinks popping an antacid will get you over it. Well the fact is you?re just treating a symptom by popping that candy elixir, which means you?re ignoring the root cause.
That?s why scientists estimate at least 15,000,000 million Americans suffer from acid reflux diseases, because no one?s acid reflux disease ever gets cured here.
Obviously something is wrong with this picture. If antacids worked why are so many people developing an ?acid reflux disease??
That term sounds a lot worse than having a simple case of ?heartburn?, doesn?t it?
Your heartburn isn?t just a ?food hang over.? There?s something much more serious going on here.
Direct-to-Consumer advertising is a multi-billion dollar investment. No one spends anywhere close to the amount of money drug companies in America do.
Many years ago Swedish researchers proved beyond a shadow of a doubt the antacids where less than effective, in fact it?s clear that antacids cause acid rebound.
Acid rebound is like heartburn on steroids.
That?s right these drugs just delay people from addressing the root cause of acid indigestion. Drug companies are making themselves a fortune by adding more customers, through deceptive means.
Here are some other things you can do to address the cause of acid reflux diseases:
Don?t eat so many processed foods, they only aggravate your acid reflux problem. The most common irritants are caffeine, alcohol, pasteurized milk dairy products, fried and high-fat foods, milk chocolate, blanched, pasteurized or oiled nuts, some tomato products and sugary juices.
Here are some more self-health care tips:
* Don?t eat 3 hours before lying down
* Don’t smoke cigarettes
* Eat smaller, more frequent meals.
* Eat slowly and chew thoroughly.
* Lose 10 pounds
* Sleep with the head of your bed elevated
* Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen and other similar analgesic medications; they can make acid reflux worse.
* eat more magnesium rich foods
* Avoid antacids that contain aluminum if you must take any
* Drink water only between your meals
If you take an antacid for longer than 3 weeks, check with your doctor before continuing. Long-term use of antacids can cause diarrhea, a change in the way the body processes calcium and a buildup of magnesium in the body, among other health risks.
