Acid Reflux in 3 Month Old Babies

Is your 3 month old baby recently become very gassy, spitting up a lot after feedings, constantly fussing in pain and spitting up all over you?

Were you hoping at the three month mark things would get easier, but instead you got stuck with a terrible toddler at three months old?

Have you been giving medicine to your child, but nothing seems to get better?

You’re not alone gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD) is hitting babies in untold number. Babies even younger than 3 months old are struggling with acid reflux symptoms sometimes lasting for 1 to two years, often causing irreparable harm.

More than 25% of children being born recently are being diagnosed with gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD). If the acid reflux is excessive it triggers health complications which can become pathologic.

Pathologic acid reflux can increase risk of choking due to reduced throat clearance from inflammation, also weakening mucosal resistance and harming the upper esophageal sphincter (UES). The tubular esophagus is about 10 inches long in an adult and has two specialized sphincters, the upper and lower esophageal sphincters.

The Upper Esophageal Sphincter (UES) is made of several long thin muscles, creating a valve which is designed to prevent air from entering the gastrointestinal tract.

The Lower Esophageal Sphincter (LES) is made of smooth muscles and is designed to stop gastric acid reflux from entering the esophagus. Gastro-Esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) can do damage to both upper and lower esophageal sphincters.

Often a child subjected to prolonged bouts of acid reflux symptoms will end up suffering from under-nutrition, sleep apnea, hoarseness, respiratory problems, neurological disorders, Esophagitis, Barrett’s esophagus and even throat cancer.

Many people are jumping to powerful drugs like proton-pump inhibitors, alginic acid compounds, cisapride and omerprazole. Others dive into surgically repairing the lower esophageal sphincter to stop acid reflux from enter the child’s throat.

Assuming drugs will cure the acid reflux is a mistake; they can only reduce or block some acid reflux from doing further damage.

It is best to seek the advice of an integrative medical doctor or a doctor who is wise to cutting edge alternative health care.

Sometimes vaccines and antibiotics can trigger digestive imbalances of natural flora and even prevent natural immune system development in children. So your child may not even have an over production of digestive gastric acids, the problem may be an inability to digest food, an allergy or even asthma.

Also make sure your child isn’t having an allergic reaction to formula. Many formulas have harmful soy (phytoestrogens) , high lead content or even artificial additives like aspartame or MSG.

Bottom line is you don’t want to expose your child to unnecessary vaccines, drugs or surgery, get “genuine healthcare” from a health practitioner that looks at the whole picture and isn’t just prescribing drugs as a knee- jerk reaction.

Remember when doctors don’t know how to find the cause; they treat the symptoms, leaving your child with the root cause of acid reflux, unaddressed.

What Food Allergies Cause Acid Reflux

Many people want to know what causes acid reflux in the first place-how does it actually happen, why does it happen, and so on.? The answer is fairly simple, and not the most pleasant-somewhat painful at times.

Acid reflux will occur when the valve between the stomach and the lower esophagus opens up, and allows stomach acid in when it shouldn’t.? At that point, the stomach acid will rise further on up into the esophagus, causing more pain and creating the burning sensation near your heart.

Determining what causes acid reflux will vary from person to person. Some people are just born with a very loose valve. Others eat too much, and there is back flow from the valve, or have food allergies. Knowing what food allergies cause acid reflux is helpful for anyone wanting to control their symptoms.

Some patients will treat certain medications as food-which is wrong-doing so can add a lot of damage.? Things like ibuprofen and naproxen, for example, are two anti-inflammatories that if taken too much, and too often will cause acid reflux.

Consider the fact that the body will, when having a really bad allergic reaction to a food, literally attack itself.? This is true when talking about what food allergies cause acid reflux. Another way to think about it would be to consider the reaction that a person with celiac disease has to wheat or gluten.

By remembering that comparison, you can understand that acid reflux can be brought on by food allergies-and there are some that are more notorious for being a problem than others.? For example, someone who is highly allergic to dairy products-milk, cheese or even eggs-may end up with acid reflux because of their food allergy.

What happens in the case of the food allergy is that the body realizes that there is a foreign object in it that it cannot tolerate, and that that foreign object has made its way down the esophagus into the stomach. Due to the body’s intolerance of that food, the stomach begins to churn, acid moves and it comes back up the esophagus, causing reflux.

Foods that are typical allergens will quite often cause reflux.? Some of those foods are nuts, soy, fish, milk and eggs, wheat, shellfish and peanuts. Of course, there are plenty of other foods that could fit into that category, but those are some of the top offenders.

In order to find out what food allergies cause acid reflux in you, or one of your loved ones, you must undergo a test. A visit to the doctor is required, and they will usually order a blood test to determine what food or foods you are allergic to.? There is another option available, but the doctor will be the one to decide if that test is necessary or not.

Food allergies can cause acid reflux, so do pay attention to what you eat. Cut out what you can, if you think you are allergic to a food. If you notice a difference, leave that food out. You can try to reintroduce it at a later time, and see what the results are.

Carboplatin Taxotere Cause Heartburn

Taxotere, taxol or paciltaxen and carboplatin are usually used together for chemotherapy. People suffering from lung cancer or ovarian cancer commonly referred to paciltaxen and carboplatin as just ?PC.?

These two chemicals are administered by intravenous (IV) injection over a period of several hours and one of the most common adverse effects besides the usual fatigue is heartburn or acid indigestion.

The whole premise if using chemical therapy is to poison the cancer cells to death. The problem is chemicals like taxotere and carboplatin can also kill you.

Anyone undergoing chemical therapy will be well briefed on the dangers and risks involved with such a barbaric approach to wellness. Someday our great grandkids children will look back at the 21st century and call it The Chemical Dark Ages.

Heartburn is the least of your worries with ?PC? therapy.

Paciltaxen and carboplatin are harsh chemicals that actually damage your Red Blood Cells (RBC), preventing them from clotting blood and make it difficult to stop bleeding should you cut yourself. You?ll also notice while using ?PC? chemical therapy that you?ll bruise very easy for the same reason.

Red Blood Cells (RBC) aren?t the only ones at risk; your White Blood Cells (WBC) are also damaged by carboplatin taxotere treatment weakening your immune system. I can?t think of anything quite like getting heartburn along with a flu infection, fatigue and all the muscle aches and pains too.

The heart burn experience from taxol and carboplatin arises usually in the aftermath of nausea and vomiting. Chances are you?ll be downing a lot of anti-vomiting medications to help you tolerate all these adverse effects.

Stomach indigestion, heartburn and acid reflux will likely be accompanied by severe stomach pain along with constipation if you?re dehydrated, otherwise ?PC? therapy will trigger diarrhea too.

These chemicals are the one?s responsible for hair loss the first 3 or 4 weeks after your first treatment. Hair loss from ?PC? affects your eyebrows, lashes and body hair as well.

The worst part about suffering from heartburn and vomiting during your chemotherapy is the stinging mouth sores some people get.

Remember if you?ve chosen chemotherapy with taxol and carboplatin, the effects listed here are temporary and will go away once you?ve completed your chemotherapy treatments.

Always seek a health professional who is well versed in alternative therapies for any health issue whether its cancer or heartburn, both can be cured naturally. It?s important to remember which ever route you chose, it is your body that heals itself in the end, so why not start by working with it in the beginning?

Be careful NOT to take more drugs with your ?PC? therapy to block all these symptoms. You may want to find the remedies for heartburn and the rest of it before you start the heavy drugs.

Always ask you doctor?s opinion, especially while going through a severe regime like Carboplatin taxotere. Hopefully your doctor will suggest nurturing your immune system with raw whole food sourced nutrients and give you a heartburn remedy before you go any further.

Acid Reflux Cough Cure

Just about everyone and their brother does these days. What most people don?t notice right away is the habitual need to clear your throat and the ?unfriendly? cough that accompanies acid reflux burn.

Whatever is triggering the upsurges of your stomach acid, whether it be from a lack of acid or an over production, the fact remains that caustic gastric acid is disrupting your life.

Obviously acid reflux is a serious health condition if it persists, but if it?s allowed to fester and ends up making you cough all the time, you could be headed for more serious complications.

Keep in mind that the acid in your stomach is made from hydrogen and chloride, along with some other nasty flavors. Hydrochloric acid can be a liquid or a gas and it?s dangerous in either form.

It?s very unpleasant to have acid reflux explode into your sensitive esophagus, mouth and sinus areas, but what?s worse is if you inhale the acid reflux particles or gas fumes.

You?ve had water or soda go down the wrong tube before, right? That?s no fun and people choke to death sometimes, but when you?re dealing with a stomach acid it can literally burn your flesh and damage your lung tissue.

Once lung damage has occurred inside your bronchial tubes or lung chambers an infection could trigger an over production of mucus. This is a white cell immune response that can complicate things, called a ?cytokine cascade.?

So if you have acid reflux, persistent coughing and even chest pain, it could be your heartburn is advancing toward becoming a much bigger problem, such as Gastro-Esophageal Reflux Disease or an infection of the lungs.

Chest pain could mean other things like angina, a hiatal hernia or heart problems, so see a doctor before assuming it?s just from acid reflux.

The problem with finding a cure for acid reflux cough is that when doctors aren?t sure of the root cause, they routinely treat the symptoms.

Just being free of acid reflux burning and coughing symptoms doesn?t mean you?re healthy. Being healthy is more than being symptom free, that?s why getting to the root of your heartburn issues should be a top priority for you.

If you are not eating the right foods, if you?re lying down after meals and if your popping ?useless? antacids, you?ll never find the cure to your acid reflux cough challenge.

Truth is the cure is simpler than you may think, but first things first. Stop eating things that increase toxins, eat foods that provide a natural alkaline base and walk a little after meals- you?ll be surprised how much money you?ll safe avoiding all those unnecessary medications or treatments.

Keep in mind your acid reflux and heartburn coughing is NOT a drug deficiency.
