Treatments For Acid Reflux
Treatments that block or even ignore symptoms of acid reflux can end up inflaming a simple case of heartburn to fully fledged throat cancer, unless your careful.
When treatments for acid reflux fail the acid reflux continues to force its way passed your lower esophageal sphincter, eventually allowing the sensitive throat lining to be scarred from stomach acid.
This scarring can lead to your throat cells mutating into cells resembling your stomach cells. This is a desperate act of your body’s built-in intelligence to try and adapt to a caustic situation in order to prolong life.
There conventional treatments for acid reflux merely cover-up the symptoms, yet do nothing to remove the root cause of your acid reflux.
So be careful in selecting any so-called treatments and if you chose any of the conventional acid reflux treatments be sure to always get a second and third opinion. You do not want to get stuck taking any treatment for any extended length of time.
Treatments are not cures and are only useful for short periods of time.
Acid reflux treatments typically start with sodium bicarbonate and water and when the antacid formulas leave you wanting more relief you can up-grade to a more dangerous treatment called proton-pump inhibitors. These treatments are powerful chemical ?inhibitors that block your body’s ability to make stomach acid. In a sense you’ve declared chemical war against the most intelligent biological system in the world, your body’s automatic healing system.
(Oh, by the way, you better be absolutely sure you don’t already suffer from a stomach acid deficiency- ask your doctor to double, triple check first.)
This can have dire consequences if you don’t have a compassionate and nutritionally educated health care practitioner working to get you off conventional acid reflux treatments a.s.a.p.
Proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) are notorious for causing acid rebound, which is a medical condition created entirely from these by man-made “treatment’ drugs.
Acid rebounds are symptoms of proton pump inhibitor addiction.
Other treatments are relative to the severity of your acid reflux symptoms and generally depend on how long you’ve been taking antacids and proton pump inhibitors (PPIs).
Hiatal hernia is associated with chronic acid reflux and some of the treatments are complicated surgical procedures. Another stage of dis-ease caused from ignoring the signs of acid reflux is gastro-esophageal reflux disease. This is a life threatening health concern that is treated with drugs simply because medically speaking, they claim there is no cure.
Medically speaking, means according to conventional, Western practice. You could say conventional medicine is biased toward treatment and against curing. There are natural remedies, which are un-patentable because they are “natural,” but have been proven to be very effective at reversing acid reflux and even gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
Why opt for failed treatments when there is a natural cure waiting for you to discover?
When gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD) is treated rather than cured, cancer can be the result. Treatments for throat cancer are harsh and are the most dangerous of all the treatments.
Certainly prevention is the best and only real treatment for acid reflux, GERD or cancer.
That’s why being nutritionally literate is so smart, knowing what remedies to take is the best way to treat any health concern, especially something like acid reflux.
Treat your acid reflux with one purpose, to help eliminate the cause without ignoring the symptoms. That way you will make the best of conventional medical wisdom and ancient time-tested cures and go beyond temporary treatments.

Esophageal Reflux
There are many causes of esophageal reflux and the symptoms vary greatly from one patient to the next. Individuals’ medical histories are a huge factor in how esophageal reflux affects each patient. The symptoms vary depending on the specific state of the condition but the most common symptom associated with it is heartburn that is often severe. Simple household remedies are occasionally sufficient in treating the symptoms but several medications are also available at most drug stores or your local grocery store.? Some of the home remedies are very simple such as drinking or eating something special before eating food that could potentially trigger an attack.? Specifically, things like apples are known to be acid neutralizers.? Also, simply drinkig a glass of water may be just enough to flush the extra acid that’s causing irritation out.
There are also daily changes that can be made to alleviate reflux.? Tracking what foods trigger reflux and then avoiding them is one of the main ways to reduce occurrences.? Also, eating smaller meals more frequently can help, as it doesn’t allow unnecessary pressure to build from assaulting the stomach with large amounts of food.
Over the counter medications are generally affordable, easy to use and the effectiveness has increased over the recent years which makes them better solutions than home remedies for most people. However, over the counter medications are not intended for continued use, and are not a permanent solution for frequent heart burn.
Esophageal reflux can be serious and you may not be able to treat it on your own. In this case you should consult a licensed physician to assist you in your treatment by prescribing a more powerful medication. Prescription medications can be a good solution for some people as they target specific causes of heart burn and prevent the production of acids or even neutralize them.? However, this is a very expensive route and can lead to a lifelong commitment.
Prevention is the best method for treating esophageal reflux because it is much better to prevent the pain and discomfort rather than to wait for it to hit you and then have to wait for relief. The most difficult part of treatment is simply finding the right solution for you because everyone’s body is unique and reacts differently to treatments.
Esophageal reflux can change over time so it is important to be proactive by monitoring your attacks and the effectiveness of different treatments to ensure that you are on top of the situation and not suffering more than you necessarily should be. If you suffer from esophageal reflux, keep in mind that there are several different ways to treat this condition so if you feel that your current treatment is not sufficient, keep an open mind to trying others until you find something that works for you.

It’s a scientific reality that in America “at least” 15,000,000 people suffer from acid reflux and if half of them knew the benefits of raw yogurt there would be half as many suffering from acid reflux symptoms.
Yogurt qualifies as a new group of healing foods called “functional foods.”
Suggesting until now most Americans have been exposed to mostly “dysfunctional foods,” you could say.
Yogurt in itself isn’t a cure for acid reflux, however the whole group of “functional foods” is. Yogurt just represents a small fraction of the healing foods available to help remove the root cause of acid reflux, acid indigestion and heartburn.
Treating the symptoms of acid reflux is what created 15,000,000 Americans who constantly suffer from the symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux diseases.
I find it interesting and maybe you will too, that in these difficult times the only companies really making seemingly unlimited amounts of money , with exception of the petroleum sheiks, are the pharmaceutical corporations.
Sadly, government protected medicine ensures their? financial success despite of their blatant short comings and outright failure to cure anything these days . . . even simple heartburn.
Acid reflux can be cured by consuming yogurt rich with natural probiotics, which simply restore and help maintain the natural pH balance in your gut.
Yogurt is not the end all of acid indigestion, heartburn or gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), but it’s a foot marching in the right direction.
Many yogurts contain little if any beneficial micro-organisms such as probiotics.
In fact many of these so-called yogurts are so full of sugar,? additives and artificial sweeteners that they are nothing more than examples of supreme contradiction.
In fact the bad bacteria like Helicobacter pylori thrive off the acid pH environment sugar and undigested animal proteins helps create.
Beneficial micro-organisms naturally occur in raw yogurt, but because of the over pasteurization of dairy products in America, any probiotics you can find in these commercialized yogurt brands had to be added after the fact.
It’s just NOT the same.
There is no comparison to the benefits of eating raw sheep or goats’ milk products like kefir, cheese and yogurt, these are abundant in healthful flora building micro-organisms that will help optimize your gut pH and digestive health.
I mentioned sheep and goat yogurt products for two reasons.
1.?????? They are grass fed.
2.?????? Their protein is similar to human breast milk.
Both of these factors are responsible for a superior product higher in nutrition, probiotics and are easier to digest. Cow’s milk has a larger protein molecule made for growing baby heifers? remarkably fast. These larger protein molecules? are hard to digest and can cause allergic reactions and are also known to induce a more acidic pH in the gut because of the wasted, undigested animal protein.
The good bacteria and micro-organisms thrive in a more alkaline pH environment.
One of the causes of acid reflux is from an acidic pH level that produces harmful bacteria, killing off the good flora.
So yes, yogurt is great for acid reflux and combined with a high? protein plant-based diet, ample sunshine and a semi-active lifestyle you can overcome acid reflux, heartburn and gastroesophageal reflux diseases naturally, without getting deceived by ineffective and outright harmful pharmaceutical gimmicks .

Post-Acid Reflux Symptoms
Nothing is really as important as the health of your digestive system. So if you are suffering from acid reflux or post acid reflux symptoms you need to start there.
Reading articles like this are helpful and the more nutritionally literate you become the healthier you and those close to you will be.
Conventional medicine has its place, but because of greedy medical zealots, its practice has become more of a failed dysfunctional medicine than anything else. Plus conventional medicine is way over priced, the cost is beyond what most people can realistically ever afford?mostly due to its total ineffectiveness.
The good news is ?functional medical practitioners? understand the importance of natural balance between the gut and the brain. In fact they see your gut as ?the second brain.?
Post-acid reflux symptoms may be following you around like a dark shadow only because your health perspective is skewed by the negative influence of dysfunctional medicine.
I say that because too many people are unaware there are non-drug alternatives to health challenges and concerns like post-acid reflux symptoms.
Acid reflux and post-acid reflux symptoms are just that, symptoms and must be seen in their true light as post-acid reflux or acid reflux symptoms, NOT causes.
It is estimated that about 15,000,000 people in the US suffer from post-reflux symptoms due to gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). That?s a lot of people treating post-acid reflux symptoms isn?t it?
When?s the last time you even saw 15,000,000 people? Now picture them all suffering from post-acid reflux symptoms . . .NOT a pretty picture.
Obviously, you?re not the only person suffering from post-acid reflux symptoms or GERD issues and your certainly not the only victim of direct-to-consumer advertising pitching this dysfunctional medical perspective.
Truth is it doesn?t need to be that way at all.
Acid rebound is another word for post-acid reflux and acid rebound is a completely man-made invention. In other words your post-acid reflux is an adverse effect of treating acid reflux or GERD symptoms with dysfunctional medicine, rather than functional medicine.
Okay you say, then what exactly is functional medicine. Actually it?s NOT medicine, it?s better than medicine, it?s real science!
The real science of so-called functional medicine, simply addresses the root cause of pre and post-acid reflux symptoms.
By nurturing cell health using whole foods, which are abundant in plant-based proteins, minerals and nutritional cofactors the natural structural and functional balance of cellular integrity is sustained.
You should desire to have more control over your post-acid reflux symptoms or acid rebound than popping more pills can give you.
Treating the symptoms of post-acid reflux means you are most likely ignoring the-root-cause-of-the-root-cause of your post-acid reflux symptoms altogether.
It?s a fact that Proton pump inhibitors (PPI) create post-acid reflux symptoms. Post-acid reflux symptoms or acid rebound is worse than your original condition of just having occasional heartburn, acid reflux and acid indigestion, BECAUSE antacids and proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) more often than not, make acid reflux diseases worse- that?s a proven scientific fact.
Support nutritional literacy in your community.
