Acid Alternative Reflux Treatment

An alternative treatment for acid reflux should address more than the symptoms of acid indigestion, heartburn and acid reflux.

Nothing ever happens at the symptom level, change is ONLY possible at the causal level.

Before you go running off to your drugs store to get an Over-The -Counter (OTC) antacid, you may find it in your best interest to see a doctor.

I know heartburn doesn’t sound like something to see a physician or licensed health practitioner over . . . but it is.

Millions of acid reflux sufferers make the mistake of treating their acid reflux symptoms as if they were caused from too much stomach acid. When they do that, they risk the danger of simple heartburn symptoms escalating into life threatening health conditions like acid rebound, GERD and throat cancer.

Fact is most people actually suffer from acid reflux symptoms because of quite the opposite reason; they have too little stomach acid.

The best thing you can do is make sure you are treating your own acid reflux symptoms correctly.

When your acid reflux, heartburn and acid indigestion symptoms are really persistent you will want to request that you have a stomach acid test.

Acid indigestion, heartburn and acid reflux are some of the most mis-treated and mis-diagnosed health problems in America.

The drug companies depend on you and your doctor believing the Direct-to-Consumer advertising spiels you’ve been bombarded with all your life.

It’s vital you question everything, even if your doctor tells you something is true, verify it. Never be afraid to ask questions and if you don’t feel you got a good answer, then get 2 and 3 medical opinions. Learn to investigate acid reflux and other health issues yourself. If you do your due diligence, you’ll naturally ask better questions about how to best treat your acid reflux.

The treatment for increasing your stomach acid and your ability to properly digest foods is totally different then the treatment for acid reflux caused from lack of digestive acids and enzymes.

Your stomach as well as your entire enteric digestive system depends on you choosing a treatment that will provide adequate nutrition. The right eating habits can help, however if your ability to digest your food down into molecular sized nutrients is inhibited from lack of stomach acid and acid reflux symptoms . . . eating right may only be part of the right treatment for your acid reflux symptoms.

Acid Reflux And Coffee

Coffee has nothing to do with your acid reflux symptoms or its cause.

There is a lot of misleading information going around. For instance blaming coffee on your heartburn . . . there simply isn’t any science to back that up.

In fact most everything blamed on causing acid reflux is a bunch of malarkey.

Certainly there are many foods available that are less than healthy for you and many that are downright harmful. The problem is you’ve been over eating for years, combined with a less than idea lifestyle and the stress of day to day living has all taken its toll on you, taxed your health and virtually bankrupted your nutritional status,

Too many people allow themselves to be misled by all the direct-to-consumer advertising they’re bombarded with in this country. By the way those obnoxious ads that acid reflux sell drugs directly over your TV or radio are illegal in every country in the world, accept the US and New Zeeland.

That’s why Big Pharma makes more money than all the 500 fortune companies added together, including coffee growers . . . acid reflux drugs happens to be a large part of that profit margin.

No one is going to trade up their morning coffee for acid reflux; it’s easier to just pop some toxic antacids all day long, believing it’s the coffee or some other food.

You are an exception to most people simply because you do your own research; I commend you for that . . . you wouldn’t be reading this if that weren’t true.

In doing my research I found a 20 year study that followed approximately 44,000 men and 84,000 women who drank coffee. The study revealed that coffee is safe and may even have some cardiovascular benefits.

How can coffee be beneficial to your heart health but cause acid reflux? Simple, coffee doesn’t cause acid reflux; it has nothing to do with it. That doesn’t mean that drinking coffee can’t trigger your acid reflux . . . anything can ‘trigger’ your acid reflux, especially when you over eat or lie down after eating a lot.

Coffee relaxes people, helps them focus and if you drink 3 cups a day may help lower age-related cognitive decline . . . so stop your acid reflux by not over eating and drink more coffee.

None of the coffee studies say anything about acid reflux. True coffee can temporarily raise blood pressure, but it isn’t a cause of hypertension. All I can say is I would stay away from non-organic coffee because of all the pesticide spraying going on these days . . . I also like to add cacao nibs to my coffee drip maker . . . it tastes great and adds magnesium a natural muscle relaxant.

Overconsumption and under-nutrition is the cause for your acid reflux, not coffee.

Acid Reflux Cough

If you have to clear your throat a lot during the day, you may have acid reflux cough.

I found there are several different types of coughs. One of the best ways to identify acid reflux cough from other coughs is by duration of the cough suffered by the patient.

According to studies done on acid reflux cough in children with chronic coughing, the coughing is less frequent than non reflux coughing.

Cough specialists have discovered that chronic coughing lasts longer than 8 weeks. Amazingly people who have had chronic coughing for many years can be cured by identifying and removing the root cause.

Acid reflux cough originates in the diaphragm and throat area, but not all coughing arises from the chest. Some types of coughing can originate from problems in other parts of the body.

If your cough lasts less than 8 weeks, it’s defined as acute rather than chronic and odds are it’s due to one of many viruses. It’s not unusual for the cough to persist even after the virus has gone.

If your acid reflux cough becomes chronic (lasting longer than 8 weeks) an X-ray will help determine if it really is an acid reflux cough or a cough triggered by something else.

Acid reflux happens to be the most common cause of chronic cough. Acid reflux cough may seem to suddenly appear for no real reason, but there is always an underlying development of factors leading up to it.

An acid reflux cough usually persists through the day and calms down and goes away in the evening and at bedtime hours. Apparently the Lower Esophageal Sphincter (LES), which is a valve at the bottom of your throat closes at night and then in the morning opens back up to release intestinal gases (burps).

The worst thing you can do if you suffer from an acid reflux cough is to eat a large meal late at night. It’s best to eat 3 hours before sleeping or at least a good hour and a half before. It seems acid reflux coughing is satisfied by constant eating, which ultimately causes further indigestion and more acid reflux.

Blocking stomach acid production calms the acid reflux cough for about 50% of the people, at least while they are taking the medicine . . . but it’s not a cure.

The other 50% most likely have a stomach acid deficiency, which can also cause acid reflux symptoms simply because food builds up and places pressure on the diaphragm and Lower Esophageal Sphincter (LES).

Leading experts agree the nutritional approach is a natural way to target the real cause of acid reflux cough for long term results, without drugs or drug side effects.

Symptoms of Acid Reflux Disease

Acid reflux symptoms are your body/mind’s attempt to communicate with you to help prevent a possible disease from happening.

When you allow a state of stress, discomfort and dis-ease to consume your every waking moment it’s only because you stopped reading the writing on the wall.

Taking drugs to cover-up your body/mind’s signs and symptoms is no different than white-washing over that writing on the wall. The writing appeared upon this “proverbial wall” so you would take heed and pay attention to a message.

Symptoms of acid reflux disease are the same as clues to help you find the cause of your suffering. Think of that Intelligent Design which is your miraculous “biological you” and its having a communication issue with the distracted “worldly you.”

The worldly you is the part of you that’s kept distracted by all the clamor and clatter your 5 senses are constantly picking up from your “outer” environment. The symptoms of your acid reflux are a cry for help, a plea for you to pay attention to the goings on “within” you.

. . . So you’re too busy to listen to your own body/mind trying to tell you not to eat so late at night, trying to tell you certain foods don’t mix well, trying to tell you it’s on your side.

When you pop antacids to relieve your acid reflux symptoms you are telling your body/mind to shut-up. This isn’t a healthy relationship to have with your miraculous healing self.

It’s exactly this type of bad behavior that leads to your acid reflux symptoms getting worse until it’s a problem or disease.

If you had a crying baby would you put duct-tape over its mouth or would you care for it and find out why it is crying?

Silly question isn’t it?

Of course you would care for the child and if it didn’t cry out you would have never known it was time to change its diaper, feed it or just give the child some genuine love.

Overcoming your symptoms of acid reflux is easy when you use this same genuine care.

Acid reflux symptoms are your body/minds way of crying out to you and popping antacids and other chemicals to hide those symptoms is like duct-taping the crying baby.

Why are we taught to be so insensitive to our own needs?

It’s been said before that if you can’t love yourself first you can’t offer love to another. This is “the secret of the miraculous power of healing” . . . it’s called love thyself. It’s the best way to get to know you!

As you already know, you can only give what you already have . . .

Acid reflux symptoms are a cry for love. When you love someone you are willing to listen to them, right?

So why ignore your acid reflux symptoms? Why would you want to neglect the cry for help? Your inner intelligence is what keeps your 60,000,000,000 cells in the harmonious concert we call life, all it needs is your love and attention . . .

Obviously the cause of your dis-ease is the same cause of your acid reflux symptoms.

The cause of any disease is rooted in your losing touch with your inner own healing voice . . .

So be willing to listen to your own inner healer and perhaps one day you will be able to do more than help heal yourself of acid reflux symptoms and disease . . . perhaps someday you will help remind someone else they have the power to choose healing too.
