Himalayan Salt and Acid Reflux

We know that a tablespoon of baking soda in a glass of water can help acid reflux, but why wouldn’t Himalayan salt do the same?

Fact is everyone is different because of biological diversity. Some people suffer from acid reflux for different reasons than others people. However, Himalayan salt may be what you’re looking for. For one thing this ancient sea salt contains a complete spectrum of trace minerals and is a great alkalizer.

Second you may actually need these minerals to help replenish your liver to help produce bile salts for better digestion and stomach acid balance.

Thirdly there are some doctors who agree ancient sea salts like Himalayan salt help flush out the kidneys, which is the opposite effect chemical table salt has. If you suffer from acid reflux, himalayan salt, or acid indigestion you may also be in dire need of detoxification.

Get a few doctors opinions first, especially if you suffer from high blood pressure. Himalayan salt and Celtic sea salt have been shown to help regulate normal blood pressure.

So there’s a good reason to believe Himalayan salt may be something that could help you.

However, like I said, everyone is different.

In case you are interested you can make a Himalayan saline solution for your acid reflux symptoms ?by simple adding the Himalayan salt crystals to a mason jar of water kept in the fridge.

Simply keep adding salt everyday for a day or two until the Himalayan salt crystals stop dissolving.

Now you can keep this saline solution indefinitely. I prefer mine kept cold, but this is not necessary.

So now you’re ready to see if will help your acid reflux, acid indigestion or heart burn. All you do is take about a teaspoon of this Himalayan salt solution a day for a few days and see what happens.

Chances are it will help you in many ways, including helping relieve your acid reflux.

Keep in mind that acid reflux is more often caused from a lack of gastric acid, than an over abundance of it. In the later case, should you suffer from too much gastric acid it should help alkalize your blood, invigorate digestion and detoxify your kidneys, when done this way.

Whereas in the case where you actually suffer from a lack of stomach acid, the Himalayan salt solution will provide the necessary trace minerals to assists your body in producing a balanced supply of gastric acids to increase the digestive power of your gut, therefore reducing acid reflux.

Two times Nobel laureate Linus Pauling strongly believed mineral deficiencies are the root cause of almost every degenerative disease known to man.

Sea water contains at least 66 elements that can provide a rich source of minerals to help stop acid reflux, and perhaps even cure it. Himalayan salt is one of the purest and richest forms of crystallized ancient sea water. If you are looking for purity, Himalayan salt is unmatched.

Here is a list of 8 acid-dependant minerals that are best absorbed in their ionic form. That’s why if you do suffer from acid reflux because of lack of minerals these are important. The problem is you need stomach acid to even absorb them.

1.?????? Chromium (Cr)

2.?????? Copper (Cu)

3.?????? Iron (Fe)

4.?????? Magnesium (Mg)

5.?????? Manganese (Mn)

6.?????? Molybdenum (Mo)

7.?????? Selenium (Se)

8.?????? Zinc (Zn)

Himalayan salt contains ionically charged minerals that make absorption easier, even if you have very little stomach acid. The trace minerals in Himalayan crystal salt are fully water soluble.

These ionic minerals have the correct synergistic blend and smaller molecular structure to be fully absorbed by the cells of the body, regardless of how much stomach acid you have.

This is another reason why taking a teaspoon a day for a few days every month is so important. Healing takes time, so be patient in either case.

Tips for Getting Rid of Heartburn

Here you are again, up late at night miserable with heartburn . . . what?s with that? I mean, you?ve tried everything ?they? told you to do, right? Of course you did . . . you and 50 million other heartburn sufferers across America.

It?s sad but true . . . the Swedes even proved it in clinical tests years ago . . . antacids are a sham, a rip-off and a big fat lie.

In fact they only make your heartburn worse.

So let?s discuss something that makes sense, like actually addressing the root cause of heartburn and indigestion. You may be suffering from acid indigestion and heartburn because you?re making ?too much? gastric acid, but probably not.

More people have acid reflux because the food they eat isn?t being digested from lack of gastric power. This allows the stomach acid your body makes splash up from the top of the food filling your gut.

So my first tip is don?t lay down after eating, this just makes it easier for the little acid on top of your undigested food to work its way toward your throat.

My second tip, officially, is don?t take antacids, for the reason I mentioned above. You don?t have the stomach acid you used to have when you were younger, especially if you?re a man.

The more cooked foods and meat you eat, the more nutrients, enzymes and everything else your pancreas and digestive system have to make to dissolve them. So their simply used up now- time to replenish!

So as the years go by, if you don?t learn how to ?replenish? you suffer from specific nutrient and mineral deficiencies.

The secret is to eat foods that contain their own enzymes, minerals and cofactors, cooked food and meat has very little to offer.

Tip number three is to eat more whole raw fruits and vegetables and if you are eating meat chew it well and then eat your vegetables ?after.? If you?ve ever been to Europe you?ll notice they always eat their salads after the main course.

Americans for some reason unknown to me, eat the salads first. This places your carbohydrate ahead of your protein. If your protein source is meat, you?ll need as much stomach acid as possible to digest that animal protein and fat.

In fact you shouldn?t even eat fruit with a meal at all, especially if you?re eating meat.

So eat your fruit in between your meals.

Same goes with drinking water- you need to drink a lot of good water, but if you do it while you?re eating, you?ll dilute what stomach acid you do have- so eat small portions, chew well. Eat protein first, carbs second and fruit in between . . . all while drinking a good source of mineral water in between all that munching.

Oh, and sit up straight!

What Does Heartburn Feel Like?

If you?re asking how heartburn feels you obviously have never experienced it.

Imagine nearly the most corrosive substance know to man, hydrochloric acid (HCL) splashing up into your sensitive mouth area, again and again and again.

Why does this happen?

Besides the fact that we eat too many processed foods, Americans have been lied to by antacid manufacturers. These so-called antacids actually produce what?s called a stomach acid rebound affect.

You see, the layers of your stomach are very complex and don?t have any problem holding down a bubbling cauldron of caustic acid so powerful it will ?etch? a glass window.

All this volcanic, blistering nasty stomach acid is kept down below by muscular valve called the Lower Esophageal Sphincter (LES). Now I see two schools of thought which describe exactly how the stomach acid gurgles its way past this esophageal flap.

One idea claims that the stomach acid over powers it, weakens it and allows the forbidden elixir of brimstone and digestive acids to eat their way up into your more sensitive oral cavities.

The other more feasible explanation of how the bubbling curd works its way upward into your mouth, nose and middle ears is because the undigested stomach contents are bulging and piling upward forcing the flap to compromise its integrity.

You see, in actuality most people have difficulty properly digesting food when they get older because they suffer from mineral and nutrient deficiencies. These nutritional deficits are caused from eating a lot of enzyme-barren foods, forcing the pancreas to make enzymes that are usually hidden within raw fruits and vegetables. This also taxes the bile producing gall bladder of important minerals necessary to make stomach acids.

So now here we are, gut full of food eaten days ago, maybe longer, just slowly fermenting like a cow?s belly, simply because there?s no more stomach acid or enzymes left to break it all down faster.

This bulk, presses up ward causing gas, heartburn and acid indigestion, cramps, flatulence and the rest of it. But what?s bad is the body is working hard to produce a much needed ?mega burst? of gastric acid and when it lets it go, it has nowhere to go but up, because your stomach is already stuffed to the brim.

In this case ?the brim? is referring to the Lower Esophageal Sphincter (LES).

Now use your imagination. What?s going to happen is noxious stomach acid, from your guts HCL surge, is going to shoot straight up where it should never be. The deep burning sensation is your flesh being etched, blistered and chemically peeled away; the rancid disturbing taste is horribly indescribable.

Over time you?ll experience gum disease, loss of tooth enamel and permanent ?non-kissable? breath. In fact your breath may get so bad no one will want to even talk with you without a ten foot pole to keep a safe distance.

I haven?t even touched on the damage the gastric fumes and stomach acid particles have on your lungs.

This acid reflux situation is so serious it can end up mutating your throat?s tender lining into cancerous leather capable of handling large gulps of hydrochloric and sulfur acids.

Once your throat cells have transformed to literally become more like the stomach lining your Gastro-Esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) is likely to progress into throat cancer . . . not a good situation and I don?t want to even imagine what that feels like.

Treatments For Acid Reflux GERD

Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) happens your throat becomes irritated and inflamed from gastric acid rebounding up where it doesn’t belong.

Here are some factors that can contribute to acid reflux disease. By NOT doing these things you will effectively treat your GERD without drugs or surgery:

  • Alcohol
  • Cigarettes,
  • Obesity,
  • Poor posture
  • Calcium channel blockers
  • Theophylline (Tedral, Hydrophed, Marax, Bronchial, Quibron)
  • Nitrates
  • Antihistamines
  • Fatty and fried foods
  • Milk chocolate
  • Garlic and onions
  • Drinks with caffeine
  • Acid forming foods (sweet fruits)
  • Spicy foods,
  • Mint flavorings
  • Eating large meals
  • Eating soon before bedtime
  • Hiatal hernia
  • Pregnancy
  • Diabetes
  • Rapid weight gain
  • Mixing fruit and protein
  • Gluten

Normally ,the Lower Esophageal Sphincter ?(LES) acts as a lid on your stomach only letting food and liquids down and keeping everything there.

The problem with Gastro-Esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) is that for one of two main reasons the Lower Esophageal Sphincter (LES) is allowing gastric acid to rise up ward into the throat, middle ear and sinus areas.

It shocked me to learn that more often than not acid reflux sufferer’s experience symptoms of Gastro-Esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) because their stomach acid isn’t strong enough, or there simply isn’t enough of it to digest the food down. This creates your classic acid reflux symptoms and makes it feels as if there is too much stomach acid, when in fact there is too little.

That’s another reason why antacids have been scientifically proven not to cure acid reflux diseases. In reality antacids trigger increased acid rebound events, literally ruining quality of life for millions of heartburn sufferers.

Rarely someone actually over produces stomach acid because of a bacterial infection, imbalance of stomach pH or from drug effects.

The acid reflux diseases come from not addressing the real cause of the acid indigestion in the first place.

First you need to restore proper nutrients, friendly flora and essential mineral balance. Nothing upsets all of these factors quicker than antacid drugs, not to mention drugs in general.

This lack of digestive acid also explains why hiatal hernia is also linked to acid reflux disease. When food piles up undigested in your gut, it ferments with bad bacteria and other harmful micro-organisms. After a while the bulk of the food piles up further pushing pressure against not only your Lower Esophageal Sphincter (LES), but you diaphragm muscles as well.

Eventually when you bend over and the food in your gut has nowhere to go, you tighten up and literally push your upper stomach and esophagus above your diaphragm.

So you should be able to imagine, as the little stomach acid you have left is dumped on top of this fermenting pile of food stuff, and that it has only one place to go . . . upwards.

This erodes the esophagus causing a complicated case of Gastro-Esophageal-Reflux Disease (GERD) and a hiatal hernia.

Your risk of surgery and throat cancer just went up again.

All this can be prevented, naturally treated and even reversed- but you must address the root cause, NOT just hide the symptoms with drug products that make things worse.
